The Perth CBD has endless opportunities and one of my favourite playgrounds for wedding portraits. It’s the perfect mix of clean architecture, gritty laneways, soft natural pockets, and weird little corners that catch the light just right. If you want photos that feel modern, editorial, and not overly “wedding-y,” the city is your best friend and I know exactly where to go.

My go-to spots are the ones that most people walk past without even noticing. The side of a car park with great shadows? Perfect. A random corner with a reflective window? Stunning. That spot near the Supreme Court Gardens where the light hits just right in late afternoon? Absolutely elite. Half the magic is in finding scenes that don’t look like Perth, even though they very much are.

What I love about city portraits is the spontaneity. We wander, we find pockets of good light, and you don’t have to pretend to be models ~ the environment does the heavy lifting. Whether it’s rooftop edges, stone staircases, the State Buildings, or quiet alleyways between office buildings, the CBD has everything we need to make portraits feel cinematic and effortless.
